MEDICI ON 57TH RESTAURANT - TRANSOM WINDOW

Opal Glass worked with master stone carver Walter Arnold to create a Rosetta style pizza window that compliments his carvings of a portrait of the owner along with a gargoyle eating a piece of pizza. Sharon took time to find the right colors of glass that would resemble typical pizza ingredients such as cooked bell pepper, pepperoni, green onions and of course mozzarella cheese with tomato sauce! Over the years it has become an iconic symbol of the Hyde Park neighborhood 57th Street area.
