TESTAMONIALS
"I first worked with Sharon Bladholm on a project for my home, and was
so impressed by her vision and professionalism that I recommended her
for a large project at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. I was
exhibits director there, and we hired Sharon to make several pieces for
an exhibition on wetlands. Sharon's inventive designs, her commitment
to the goals of a project, and her meticulous follow-through make her a
pleasure to work with."

"We're
doing a project on
Emanuel Congregation at 5959 N. Sheridan to make a
large opening and install a new window wall overlooking the lake. The
new
design incorporates some historic art glass
elements that were salvaged from
an older congregation. Emanuel had already retained someone to restore
the
salvaged art glass panels and they were assigned to us as a
subcontractor.
The restoration is being done by an artist named Sharon Bladholm and
yesterday we visited her studio in Chicago.
Sharon showed us several windows being disassembled and reconstructed
for another church project in addition to the work she's already
completed for Emanuel Congregation. We also looked at some original
designs hanging in the studio that were very impressive. The work we
saw was very professional
and Sharon has an extensive knowledge of art glass design and repair as
well as a large stock of glass panes and materials. The studio is a
large work space that is set up to make repairs or lay out and assemble
panels in large sections, but she's also done piecework and onsite
repair work
from ladders or scaffolding.
The project for Emanuel was not a large, but the pricing seemed very
reasonable and the work looks great. I would recommend Sharon as a
potential bidder and/or consultant when you have historic art glass
work or glass design on any upcoming project, and I think she could be
a valuable resource for you."
